Who is Peter Dufaux?

Peter Dufaux specialises in aspects of collective labour law and social security law.

Peter Dufaux has a Master of Law degree (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 1989) and a special Master's degree in Social Law (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 1991). He started his professional career as assistant lecturer in labour law at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and has since been lecturing at the Erasmus College and the Provincial College Limburg. Currently, Peter Dufaux is the legal practice education coordinator and lectures on social law at the Provincial College Limburg.

Peter also has five years' experience as Human Resources Adviser for an American chemical company. He has advised Belgian, European and American HR departments on collective bargaining, organising social elections, the workings of consultative bodies, aspects of social security law, law on termination of employment, foreign senior management and migrating employees.

Peter Dufaux regularly writes and lectures on social law. He is currently finishing a dissertation on collective bargaining.

Peter Dufaux was sworn in as a solicitor in June 1994 and was a member of the bar in Brussels for more than 13 years. He joined Monard Law as a partner on 1 September 2007.
